Hankinson 's activated carbon adsorbers are special filter systems for compressed air that have been developed to remove impurities such as oil vapors and hydrocarbons from compressed air systems. These devices are often used in applications where a particularly high level of air purity is required, for example in the food, pharmaceuticalor electronics industries.

WHAT IS AN ACTIVATED CARBON ADSORBER?

Activated carbon adsorbs organic substances from water and air and can therefore purify water or air contaminated with organic components - the pollutants are absorbed by the activated carbon.

Activated carbon filter for water can microplastics, hormones, bacteria, germs, legionella and certain heavy metals to about 99% from the water and annoying odors or unpleasant taste eliminate.

WHERE IS ACTIVATED CARBON ADSORBER USED?

Activated carbon, or A-carbon for short (Carbo medicinalis, medical carbon), is a fine-grained carbon with a large inner surface area that is used as an adsorbent in the chemical, medical, water and wastewater treatment, ventilation and air conditioning industries, among others.

Activated carbon adsorbers are predominantly used for treatment to oil content class 1 in accordance with ISO 8573. The compressed air is cleaned of the oil molecules by means of adsorption. However, activated carbon is also able to absorb water vapor molecules.

You can only achieve the optimum performance of your compressed air system if you separate the impurities with the activated carbon adsorber compressed air filter system. Continuous maintenance of your existing filter systems and compressed air system is the cornerstone for a smooth workflow in your company.
