Hankison desiccant dryers: Precise humidity control for maximum efficiency

With the impressive ability to reduce moisture content to extremely low pressure dew points of -20 °C, -40 °C or even -70 °C, Hankison desiccant dryers are synonymous with quality and efficiency. Thanks to their versatile design and robust construction, they offer an exceptional flow range from 8 m³/h to 13,000 m³/h. This technology ensures reliable performance in a wide range of applications and protects your equipment from moisture damage.

Heat-free and heated solutions

When choosing the right compressed air dryer, you have two main types to choose from: heatless and heated dryers. The decision for one of these technologies depends on various factors, such as the required drying capacity, energy efficiency requirements and your budget. Hankison offers a wide range of air treatment solutions to suit the individual needs of your compressed air system. Choose the right dryer to ensure efficient moisture removal and optimal system performance.

Efficient moisture removal without heat

Heatless air dryers remove moisture from the compressed air using the adsorption principle. They use a desiccant, such as activated alumina, to effectively capture water vapor. The system consists of two towers filled with desiccant. While the compressed air flows through and dries in one tower, the other tower regenerates itself by diverting a small portion of the dried air to regenerate the saturated desiccant. This technology is energy efficient as no external heat is required for regeneration, but the drying capacity is lower than with heated dryers.

Discover the HSHD series, compact, heat-free air dryers with flexible wall mounting and a flow capacity of up to 70 m³/h. For larger requirements, the HHL series offers precise dew point control and an impressive capacity of up to 9,000 m³/h.

Maximum performance for demanding applications

Heated air dryers combine desiccant and heat to efficiently remove moisture from compressed air. There are two main types: externally heated and internally heated dryers. Externally heated dryers use an external heat source, such as electric heaters or steam, to regenerate the desiccant. Internally heated dryers have integrated heaters that work directly in the desiccant bed. These heated systems offer a higher dehumidification performance and are particularly suitable for larger systems or applications with high moisture levels.

For compact solutions with internal heat recovery and an airflow capacity of up to 4,300 m³/h, the **HMW series** is the ideal choice. Alternatively, the **Delair DB series** offers external, heated dryers for demanding applications that require high regeneration performance.
